For my final zine, I ended up making my entire concept much simpler. I originally was going to go with a theme of a teenage magazine that was more personal with insecurity around femininity. That changed earlier on in the work stage of the project because it felt a bit too complicated and difficult for me to totally achieve. Instead, I narrowed it down to something much more personal with no specific theme but going through different topics and subjects around femininity that I felt weird about. Due to the nature of this assignment having me work on multiple images in photoshop and Illustrator, I grew a lot. Getting pretty comfortable with the basic tools in both applications and the ability to work around them. Especially in a weird way, I got pretty alright with using a computer mouse as a drawing tool. I hope I was successful with what I was trying to communicate in my artwork. During critique in class while some were definitely weaker I think it all made enough sense in the general theme that I was hoping for. I think if I was to do another zine I would like to do a simpler less emotional project. I think definitely when planning and the subject of pieces being things that I felt insecure about it was hard to plan and sometimes made me feel sad and uninspired for more pieces of art. But overall, I am quite happy with all the work that went into this and it's very cool to hold a physical copy of something I made!
